MB7IEX Update Firstly we would like to welcome Geoff, MB7IEX keeper, to the Exterenet group and we are hoping that MB7IEX will be back on the air shortly as it provided a useful service filling in gaps not covered by Exeter.
On Geoffs behalf we are negotiating clearance of the original frequency rather than allocating a new one proposed by ETCC since this is the most spectrum efficient solution. If this is not possible we have also suggested 145.3375. Field testing and our computer prediction shows that MB7IEX will not interfere with Taunton, now on the original MB7IEX frequency. The frequency proposed by RSGB Emerging Technology Co-ordination Committee, 144.8375 is not ideal since it will be just 12.5KHz from Sidmouth only 9 miles away and with significant footprint overlap causing a risk of adjacent channel splatter with user stations operating is such close proximity to eachother. We will keep you posted with developments.
G7FEK-L update The G7FEK gateway at calne was switched off on 27th November as we are still awaiting NoV renewal.
M0KFW-L Update Exeter is due for renewal in two weeks and Ken, who has already contacted the ETCC, is hoping that this one will go smoothly.
