Alec confirms that the 2m and 70cm antennas have been installed. I will be providing the linking controller hardware as soon as it is built.
After discussuion with Alec it looks like the plan is for..
70.4125 MHz & 430.075 MHz on eQSO
145.3375 will be an Echolink Port.
This allows for an extension of coverage on Echolink from that of the Paignton Link as well as the planned extension of eQSO coverage from that of Exeter, both on nearby channels.
The 4m (70MHz) port is just for fun to promote activity on that band. There is some interest in this band in the Southwest and an eQSO port on 101English would bring some regular traffic to the band when it is quiet.
Garex (www.garex.co.uk) are able to supply a range of equipment for use with the gateways and simplex operation on 4m.
No news on the NoV's yet. We did have some problems with the RSGB as regards allocation of 430.075 but as far as I am aware these have been resolved.
